Ever get a piece of advice that really resonates with you or helps you see something differently? Our team members have, too, and we want to share a few practical pieces of advice with you.

  • There is nothing shameful or illegal about breastfeeding in public. You do not need to hide or cover up if you don’t want to. Feed your baby wherever, whenever you like and know that you are protected by federal law to do so.
  • Breastfeeding is not just about milk; it’s about love, bonding, and the nourishment of both body and soul.
  • Don’t watch the clock; do what it does. Keep going.
  • When you feel like quitting, think about why you started.
  • Skin-to-skin contact can encourage better breastfeeding.
  • Stay hydrated; your milk supply depends on it.
  • Your body is kind of like the ice maker on a refrigerator. The more milk you take out, the more milk your body replenishes. If you don’t remove the milk, your body makes less. Frequent and consistent feeds (milk removal) are key to milk production!

Affirmations are positive statements or phrases you can repeat to yourself and encourage a shift in mindset, boost self-confidence, or reinforce positive behaviors. Rooted in the idea that our thoughts can shape our reality, affirmations are used to counteract negative thinking patterns, reduce stress, and promote a more optimistic outlook on life.
