Calling all superheroes: get your masks and capes ready!
Due to ongoing health concerns because of the coronavirus pandemic, Highmark has changed all of their walks into virtual events this year. You can still register online and fundraise as normal. Read below to find out what’s new as we prepare for this year’s virtual walk.
The MFHS Healthy Heroes walk is back at the 3rd annual Northeast Pennsylvania Highmark Walk for a Healthy Community. This fun, family-friendly fundraising walk will directly support the families we serve.

Join us on June 20th as we walk together, but apart across our communities! Share photos of your family walking on social media with the hashtags #MFHSHealthyHeroes and #HighmarkWalk and you might get featured on our page! While the walk is all virtual this year, the impact is real and will support our staff as we provide much needed services to combat food insecurity in NEPA.

Where: Your favorite walking spot.
What: 5k walk and 1 mile fun walk.

Fundraising Incentives
- Highmark will be giving away a $50 gift card to a store of your choice to one walker from the NEPA walk. A donation made on your personal walk page of any size during June counts as one entry.
- Highmark will pull some winners for various raffle items at the end of June, like they usually do at the walk. The more you raise, the more chances to win prizes like bluetooth speakers, headphones, and more!
- MFHS will choose one grand prize winner from just our walkers, who will win a $100 Amex gift card and 4 passes for Dorney Park that are good through 2021. Every $25 raised is one entry to win!
Once you register, send friends and family to your personal walk page and ask them to donate! Highmark is keeping the walk page open until July 15th to give walkers extra time to organize and fundraise as pandemic restrictions are lifted across our community.
